Spectacular Mountain Hideaway

01.
In Spain, we have a home on a mountainside. My wife is an artist, and I am a digital media designer. I make websites, like this one.

02.
Our home is on the island of Mallorca, in the Mediterranean Sea, off the coast of Spain.

03.
We have enlarged and modernized the original, rustic house. Today, the house has electricity, telephone, heat -- and an internet connection (ADSL). By choice, we have no television.

04.
The house is surrounded by olive trees, which grow on the terraced hillside. Sheep graze among the trees, and the hillsides ring with the sound of their tinkling bells.

05.
There are stunning views in every direction. To the north, Mallorca's highest mountain, the Puig Major, changes dramatically with the seasons.

06.
To the south, from our terrace, we see the village of Fornalutx, an international community of about 500 people.

07.
It took a year to rebuild the house, and put on a new roof.

08.
I flew over the property in a helicopter, to view it from the air.

09.
The living room includes an open fireplace, which warms the house in winter.

10.
The real fun is having a party.
